Call for sessions
Session subjects should be conceptual and should present up-to-date research themes, they should be mostly relevant for all maize insect pests, if possible, not only region specific, but they can be maize pest specific if this is of global concern. It should be noted that we have up to 9 scientific session slots planned (each slot has a total of 105 minutes (including 5 minutes for introduction by the session organizers) that provides the opportunity to schedule five speaker slots (each 20 minutes) who will have 10 minutes for an oral presentation followed by 10 minutes for discussion.
In the context of session organizers, we would like to encourage our female IWGO working group members actively participate in the process as we already did for the previous IWGO Conferences, which resulted in a very good step forward in the right direction. Please consider also a truly international approach for nominating session organizers and for recruiting speakers.
Deadline for the CALL FOR SESSIONS: Please submit your session topic proposal,
latest until 30 March 2025.
Proposals should include the following information:
- A session title
- A short title (max 5 words or 50 characters)
- The goal of the session (half A4 page)
- Names, institutions, e-mail addresses of chairs (up to three chairs per session)
- List of potential speakers
(Please note: all potential speakers as well as chairs will have to register and pay registration fee)
